PROGRAM MANAGER
RAVEN DOZIER
Ms. Raven Dozier, is an AP Language, AVID, and English III teacher at JVJ STEM Academy in Elizabeth. Born and raised in Elizabeth, she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English with a K-12 teaching certification from Montclair State University. During her time at Montclair, she collaborated with the Newark Teacher Project, where she focused on social justice, equity, diversity, and anti-racist teaching practices.
In her classroom, she prioritizes social-emotional health, recognize the diverse backgrounds of my students, and foster academic growth with a strong commitment to equity. Additionally, she has spent over ten years with the City of Elizabeth Recreation Department, where she began as a Clerical employee and was later promoted to Summer Recreation Supervisor.
Raven is the Program Manager for Girls on a Mission Mentor Program which caters to young ladies ages 12-18. She has the passion for fostering supportive and nurturing environments that encourage growth and self-confidence. She is dedicated to empowering young women to reach their fullest potential
Raven was recently recognized by the House of Hearts Network Executive Director’s Education Awards Program and New Jersey’s 10 Congressional District. She received the certificate of special Congressional Recognition in honor of her achievements as an educator
