SHANITA WALKER​

Shanita is the eldest of eight children, born at the Philadelphia Naval Hospital. From a young age, she learned the importance of hard work, believing that to succeed, she must put in twice the effort. She graduated at the top of her class from Imhotep Institute Charter High School and went on to earn her Bachelor of Arts in Law and Legal Studies from Arcadia University in 2007.

In 2009, Shanita obtained her Paralegal Certificate and later achieved her Master’s in Paralegal Studies from Kaplan University in 2015, just two weeks before the birth of her youngest daughter.

Although she began working towards a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, she decided to pivot to prepare for Law School. With her strong motivation and work ethic she is on a determined path to becoming an attorney with the goal of entering in the fall of 2026.

She has over four years of work experience in legal support and legal research, working as an intermediate paralegal position at a mid-sized law firm.Shanita is an organized, dedicated and ambitious budding professional with excellent attention to detail, and thirst for learning interesting in working closely with experienced attorneys and contribute to the success of a dynamic law firm.

She is the Co-Chair of The City of Philadelphia’s Law Department Professional Development Committee and also serves on the Philadelphia Bar Association Paraprofessionals Committee. She is deeply passionate about mentorship and is committed to making a positive impact in her community and beyond.
