BOARD CHAIR
DESJENEÉ DAVIS, ESQ.
Desjeneé Davis, Esq. is a lifelong resident of Philadelphia and devoted leader in her community. Desjeneé is a Deputy City Solicitor in the Civil Rights Unit for the Philadephia Law Department where she represents the City of Philadelphia, the Philadelphia Police Department, and its employees in civil matters before the Court of Common Pleas and the Eastern District of Pennsylvania federal court. She is also an Adjunct Professor at Drexel’s Kline School of Law and Director of Drexel Law’s Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Program. A program that teaches high school students about their Constitutional Rights within the classroom.
As a trial attorney and professor, Desjeneé utilizes her platform and experience to further diversify the legal profession and empower women within the community through various efforts and initiatives. She currently serves as the President of the National Bar Association, Women Lawyers Division of Philadelphia. An organization geared towards providing foundational and emotional support to Black women in the legal profession. Desjeneé is also the Chair of the Black Alumni Association of Kline (BLAAK) where she provides mentorship and guidance to Black law students embarking on their legal journey. Currently, Desjeneé serves as GOAMWA’s Board Chair where she continues to drive the mission and work to achieve success and sustainability of the organization.
